Back Country Silver Lab's is the Breeder of Silver and Charcoal AKC registered Labrador Retrievers. Found just east of Laurel Mountain in the wooded / farm areas of West Central Pennsylvania with open fields and wood terrain .
Labrador Retrievers have been our passion for the last 20 years and Back Country Silver Labs is looking forward to Breeding and raising champion dogs and pets for those who enjoy the outdoors or just want a very docile friend / pet that can adjust to all family ages.
The AKC Stand on Registration of Silver (chocolate) and Charcoal (black) basic Labrador Retrievers colors, but their colors are much more then the basic recognized colors. On 24th January 2000, Jack Norton gave the official position of the AKC on the issue of Silver Labs. The registry of the American Kennel Club is based on the Parentage and not the coat color of a member of any breed.
in 1987 the AKC set the standard that the Silver which held a percentage of hair in shade of sedge to Chocolate should be registered as Chocolate and the same factors held true for classifying the Charcoal lab as its shade was more consistent with the Black labs.
Our Family
Our family consist of Nine adorable and lovable labs.
Chloe a charcoal female lab, Kobe a silver male lab, Macey a silver female have all retired over the past few years. They are very much the family protectors now in their house roles.
Ghost, Frank-s and Rock-e are the breeding males on site ranging in age from 5 thru 2.5 years. Ghost is a American Silver lab nose to tail with highly whited fur, Rock-e is a hybrid American Silver lab with block head and American body and Rock-e the babe is a American Silver lab who is yellow factored and petite in size. These are breeding sire that take responsibility very seriously.
Nelie a Silver female is soon to be 6 and this will be her last breeding, she has been a fantastic mother to her litters and also is a great nanny to the puppies of other litters that are born, She has a very keen sense for hunting.
Charlotte, Zo-e, KC-D a, Mag-e, Oak-Lee, Hattie and Izi-Bell are the current breeding females' and up coming female's. The newest female to join the Family KC-D a, Mag-e, Oak-Lee, Hattie and Izi will add new characteristics to the lines going forward. Zo-e is an English style charcoal female, Charlotte is a tall lean Silver American lady, Mag-e is the old style Champale Silver lab female in a very large frame, KC - D a is a petite Silver female as is Oak-lee, Hattie is Silver normal size female from a yellow factored father is dark silver fur and the baby Izi-Bell is a slender Charcoal female. I am very excited about the future and the newest additions adding to the growth of the family.

Pricing
A $300.00 non refundable deposit will be required to be place on the pick list for a puppy of the gender and color of your choosing when they re one week old. This deposit can be in the form of a check and upon cashing of the check the interested party on the pick list under the gender and color of puppy desired.
We do not accept credit cards, debit cards or pay pal for deposit or final payment. Final payment will be on pick or delivery of the puppy to the new owners home, in in the form of cash or a US based A rated Banks cashier’s check. If for some reason that final payment and pick up cannot take place because of unforeseen circumstance and upon approval of the seller in writing at least 2 weeks prior to pick up the deposit may be moved to a deposit on a future litter of the same pick that was originally chosen.
All prices are for limited registration of your puppy.
Charcoal puppy’s, female’s and male’s will be $1300.00 and $1200.00 respectively
Silver puppy’s, female’s and male’s will be $1300 and $1200.00 respectively.
Full registration is an additional $1000.00 for approved homes.
Stud services for silver are by request and negotiated between interested parties.
Before coming home the puppy’s will be micro chipped and registered via pet link to the new family (with chip registration paper work and application for PA Dog yearly and life time license accompanying). Dew claws will be removed, accompanied with AKC Limited registration paper work, Vet check certificate, wormed at least twice and at least first round of puppy shots with a record of shot from the Vet. A bag of the food the puppies have been eating will accompany them home. A two year health guarantee will also accompany the puppies home as will the final signed bill of sale.

1. Against PARVO or CORONA VIRUS, as immunities vary with each dog
2. Payment of any veterinarian bills made/incurred by the buyer
3.Female dogs being able to produce litters, Redundant Vulva or male dogs having both testicles when mature.
4. Show potential, size of the dog, slipped-joints, or death due to negligence on the part of the buyer
5. Thickness of coat, skin allergies, puppy dermatitis, or any and all mites, mange and or parasites, Guardia,
Coccidia.
6. Teeth, Over or under bite or luxating patellas
7. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugars) is not covered.
8. Hernias
9.Guaranteed as pet quality only
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
This guarantee is limited to the development of any serious, life threatening, congenital or hereditary defects
within 120 days (from birth date___________), and is limited to the replacement of the pup, of same color/gender,
with the next available litter. Written notification submitted directly to me from your veterinarian is required.
Back Country Silver Lab’s and Back Country Lab’s LLC, reserves the right to have the pup returned for examination
through our veterinarian.
Seller guarantees puppy for 18 months from date of birth to be free from hip and elbow dysplasia. If in the event
this should occur, written test results from a certified radiologist is required for a replacement puppy. This
guarantee is for a replacement puppy from the next available litter only, no money refunds will be made.
Transportation and veterinary fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Original puppy must be returned to
seller before replacement puppy will be provided.
1. As the date of delivery, your puppy has received proper vaccinations and has been dewormed on a strict
schedule. You have been informed of the puppy's vaccination and deworming schedule and are aware of future
vaccinations and de worming that will be due. Intestinal Parasites, (worms) are not considered a disease.
Puppies can still be retaining intestinal parasites. Your Vet will put your Puppy on a schedule for deworming.
Your Puppy has received the standard format of dewormers. Puppy's are born with intestinal parasites and are
treated for them. This guarantee shall become null and void if the puppy is given any vaccinations within 7 days of
your receiving Puppy.
2. If your puppy dies within 120 days of the birth date due to a genetic defect. The Health Guarantee will be
void if there are any signs of abuse or neglect, over feeding or the pup has been bred. If the puppy has an untreatable
life threatening disease or illness due to genetics. Before you are able to get a replacement dog, you
the buyer, has to have the puppy euthanized and show proof from your vet of the untreatable life threatening
disease or illness due to genetics. If your puppy has a genetic disease and you choose to keep your puppy, then
this health guarantee is void. Your puppy will no long be under this health contract and you, the buyer, will not
hold Back Country Silver Lab’s or Back Country Lab’s LLC responsible for any and all conditions that your puppy
may have or occur during its lifetime.
3. If you Decline a replacement puppy, then Back Country Silver Labs or Back Country Lab’s LLC shall be under
no further obligation and it will be deemed that YOU, the buyer, has released Back Country Silver Labs and Back
Country Lab’s LLC from any and all further claims and voids this health guarantee... If a replacement dog is
unavailable at the time then buyer will have a pick of same sex and color from next available litter. Seller has the
right to choose another veterinarian for a second opinion to confirm diagnosis before a replacement dog is given...
We (Back Country Silver Labs or Back Country Lab’s LLC ) will not be held responsible for any medical expenses.
You, (the buyer), are fully aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understand that you will
be responsible for all payments.. Health Guarantee VOID if dog/puppy is sold to another party or given away. All
shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. If the dog dies within this 90 day time frame, you must pay to have it
autopsied to ascertain reason of death. If you do not then contract is void. Any physical problem which is or could
be the result of injury is not covered under this guarantee.
4. Shipping of a replacement Puppy is the responsibility of the buyer. No refund will be given. Any occurring vet
expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.
5. If illness, damage or death occurs to the puppy from shipping thru the purchased shipping of the buyer this
health contract is void.
